See New Nigerian Prison Service Luxury Hotel With Swimming Pool, Lounges, Gym, Others (PHOTOS)
The Nigerian Correctional Service recently showcased images of the Nigerian Correctional Service Hotel (COCOS) via its official Facebook page on Monday.
Reportedly, the Nigerian Correctional Service Staff Cooperative Society procured a property comprising 160 units along with a hotel situated at KYC La Villa Diamante City Estate, behind ACO Estate, along Airport Road, Abuja.
Former Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, officially unveiled the hotel on March 1, 2021.
The hotel features 108 rooms alongside facilities such as a swimming pool, lounges, a conference hall, a rooftop garden, a gym, and various other amenities. It commenced its trial operations in August 2021.
The disclosure of this project has been generating mixed reactions from Nigerians. Many people were not pleased with the kind of luxury hotel services the correctional service staff enjoy especially given the deplorable conditions of the correctional facilities where prisoners are kept.
