Sean Kingston Sent to Jail for $1 Million Florida Fraud Case

Singer Sean Kingston, 34, is behind bars in Broward County after being deported from California. Kingston was arrested on May 23rd while performing at a military base in California. Turner was apprehended during a SWAT raid at their rented mansion in Fort Lauderdale the same day. Both face charges of organized fraud, grand theft, identity theft, and related crimes.

According to arrest warrants, the alleged crimes occurred between October 2023 and March 2024. The mother-son duo is accused of stealing nearly $500,000 worth of jewellery, over $200,000 from Bank of America, a Cadillac Escalade, and furniture from a custom bedmaker. Specific details about the thefts haven’t been released.

Kingston, known legally as Kisean Anderson, appeared before a judge on Monday. Bond was set at $100,000 with additional restrictions including passport surrender, firearm prohibition, and no contact with his mother. An attorney representing both Kingston and Turner expressed confidence in a “successful resolution” in a Florida court. This isn’t Kingston’s first brush with the law. He was previously on probation for trafficking stolen goods. Turner also has a history of fraud, serving prison time for stealing over $160,000 in 2006.
