Popular Pastor, Sam Adeyemi, Narrates Troubling Dreams He Had About Nigeria
Founder and Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, Sam Adeyemi, recently shared insights into his relocation to the United States after having troubling dreams about Nigeria.
During a virtual interview with Seun Okinbaloye on his programme ‘Mic On’ podcast, Adeyemi discussed Leadership Beyond Governance Politics and the Role of the Younger Generation in Nigeria.
The one hour, thirty minutes, and forty-seven seconds video, streamed on the Mic On YouTube channel on Sunday, captured Adeyemi’s reflections on various issues.
Earlier this year, Adeyemi highlighted the urgency for older generations of Nigerians to unify efforts in making Nigeria thrive. He stressed the need for political and religious leaders to steer the country towards prosperity, anticipating the scrutiny of the younger generation.
Adeyemi revealed that various factors, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the EndSARS protests, and unsettling dreams about Nigeria, influenced his relocation decision.
He recounted, “When COVID-19 started, all our children were in the US, so everyone stayed with their families. We stayed with our children. The week services resumed was when EndSARS started, so we were preparing to return to Nigeria.”
Adeyemi further detailed troubling dreams experienced by himself and his wife, prompting them to reconsider their plans to return to Nigeria.
He continued, “My wife had a dream in which she travelled to Nigeria and returned to the US, which was a bad dream. I told her I wouldn’t say I liked this dream. Three days later, I had a dream. We both travelled to Nigeria in my dream, and I was in a big fight.”
The renowned preacher elucidated how subsequent dreams and unease from family members in Nigeria reinforced their decision to stay in the US.
Following consultations with leaders of Daystar Christian Centre, Adeyemi decided to extend his stay abroad, focusing on a global ministry while maintaining the church’s operations.
Adeyemi highlighted Daystar’s resilience during their absence, attributing its success to robust systems and investments in training.
He concluded, “The focus shift is to do that global walk while we keep Daystar running, leveraging technology.”
