Peter Obi Has Subtly Congratulated Tinubu On His Victory – Ohanaeze Reveals

Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex socio-cultural organization, has stated that Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, has accepted the Supreme Court verdict on the 2023 presidential election.
The group went ahead to add that Obi’s conduct is a subtle congratulations to President Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, who the Apex Court declared winner of the controversial election.
Factional Secretary-General of Ohanaeze, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, disclosed these in a statement, noting that Obi did not contest as an Igbo candidate or on an Igbo platform, rather he was for all Nigerians with a view to realizing the Nigeria of our dream.
The statement partly reads: “Ohanaeze Ndigbo acknowledges Mr. Obi’s acceptance of the Supreme Court’s judgment against his appeal on the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) verdict, which declared President Tinubu as the rightful winner of the 2023 Presidential elections.
“This honorable acceptance has endeared Mr. Obi to Nigerians across the political spectrum, including members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). His conduct serves as a subtle congratulations to President Tinubu and has prevented his supporters from being unjustly labeled as anarchists.”
Isiguzoro further advised Obi to shift attention from 2023 presidential election and focus on the 2027 presidential contest adding that forming a formidable alliance with the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Rabiu Kwankwaso and getting the backing of former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, would boost his chances of beating Tinubu if the President seeks reelection in 2027.
