Olamide Sets New Record with “Ikigai”
Olamide‘s “Ikigai” has set the record for most opening day streams by a project on Spotify Nigeria in 2024. “Ikigai” garnered 1.86 million streams in its opening 24 hours thus surpassing Shallipopi‘s “Shakespopi” which gained 1.59 million streams.
The EP’s record-breaking first-day numbers restate the artiste’s status as one of the most streamed artists on Spotify. With his latest project, Olamide records his biggest first-day numbers yet as it surpassed the 1.81 million streams accumulated by his 2023 album “Unruly”.
On “Ikigai”, Olamide featured Fireboy, Asake, Pheelz, Young Jonn, Lil Kesh, and Sabri. The project is his 10th solo project.
