Israel Shocks The World With New Defense System Never Seen Anywhere


Israel has developed a new weapon in its defense arsenal — and the enemies of the Jewish state will never at all see it coming.
The weapon in question, which reportedly can halt electronic capabilities their enemies, is just part of a new suite of electromagnetic warfare with the name Scorpius.
Recently, Israel’s Defense Ministry announced its plans of developing a laser beam. The weapon is capable of shooting down incoming rockets and small drones from the enemy. Israel plans to test it throughout the coming year for more perfection and mortifications where necessary.
According to the ministry of defense, development of the laser system was possible due to secretive recent unspecified “technological breakthrough,” that’s following years of lots of investment in research efforts by defense contractors and academic scientists from Israel.
Despite the achievement, the futuristic defense system is only in the basically in early development stages and will not be operational in the near future, the ministry said.
In the past decades, Israel has been working to develop a better laser-based system twhich can perfectly intercept incoming projectiles. So far, it has failed to produce a viable option because of cost issues and technological limitations facing Israel.
The Defense Ministry’s insisted that the proposed laser beam is only meant to complement the Iron Dome missile defense system and not to replace.
The head of the Defense Ministry’s Weapons Development and Technology Infrastructure Administration (MAFAT), Brig. Gen. Yaniv Rotem, said that each firing of one laser would cost approximately one dollar, excluding the cost of the system, unlike the tens of thousands of dollars that an Iron Dome interceptor missile costs….See More
