Horror As Lady Throws Her Newborn Baby Down From Three-Storey Building (PHOTO)
A second-year student from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Federal University Dutse (FUD) in Jigawa State allegedly threw her newborn from the upper level of the female dormitory after giving birth.
A fellow student at the institution confirmed that the incident occurred on Monday.
She recounted, “Early Monday morning, we discovered the lifeless newborn girl on the ground, having been dropped from a three-story building.”
According to her, the student made this heartbreaking decision in an effort to hide the stigma of having a child out of wedlock.
Police spokesman DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam admitted that the incident happened. He mentioned that the police received information about the second-year student who gave birth and then threw the baby from the three-story building, causing the infant’s immediate death.
Upon receiving the report, a team of officers quickly arrived at the scene and transported both the newborn and the mother to Rasheed Shekoni Teaching Hospital Dutse. There, a doctor confirmed the infant’s death.
The mother is currently hospitalized and receiving treatment.
DSP Shiisu stated that an investigation into the matter is underway.
