Davido donates N300m to orphanages

As part of his yearly N300m donation, Davido has revealed his plans.

The singer revealed that details regarding the disbursement will be released on February 21.

In 2021, Davido pledged to donate on his birthday.

David Adeleke, aka Davido, has announced plans to donate N300 million to orphanages across the country.

David Adeleke said he would make the donation through his foundation, The David Adeleke Foundation.

Using his X handle, Davido announced the disbursement on Tuesday, February 20.

According to him:

“I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million Naira to orphanages around Nigeria… as my yearly contribution to the Nation.. details of disbursement tomorrow.”

Recall that the singer donated N200m raised from his N1m challenge on his birthday in 2021, noting that he would be adding N50 million of his personal money to bring the total to N250 million.

My goal is to do this fundraising every year to celebrate my birthday and give back to people in need,” he said, adding that he hopes to organize a fundraiser in December.

The actresses took to Instagram to lament bitterly about the state of the nation with Mercy Aigbe in her own post appealing to Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, to beg his father to do something about the present situation of the country.

The filmmaker made the appeal in an Instagram post with disturbing footage of a group of people collecting what seem to be food items from an NGO foundation.
