Chief Of Defense Staff Speaks On Using Military Coup To Remove Tinubu From Power


The Chief of Defense Staff, General Christopher Musa, has spoken on the possibility of ousting President Bola Tinubu from power.
The CDS reassured the public that the Nigerian Military had no intention of executing a coup against the democratically elected government of President. General Musa emphasized that the Armed Forces of Nigeria are content with the democratic system and remain loyal to Tinubu as their Commander-in-Chief.
He made this statement during his visit to the 6 Division of Nigeria Army in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he commissioned various projects including the 47 Engineering Brigade Counter Improvised Explosives Device Squadron and a tree planting initiative. General Musa took the opportunity to interact with the armed forces in the state, encouraging them to maintain professionalism and dedication.
Addressing recent military coups in neighboring countries like Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso, General Musa assured Nigerians that there is no cause for concern within the country. He expressed the military’s unwavering support for democracy and emphasized their commitment to protecting Nigeria’s democratic values.
He stated, “We stand by democracy… I want to assure Nigerians that nothing like a coup is going to take place in Nigeria. All members of the Armed Forces are pleased with democracy, and we will continue to defend democracy.”
