BREAKING: Outrage As Four-Year-Old Pupil Dies At Abuja School During Lunch
A tragic incident unfolded at BrickHall Schools in Abuja on Wednesday, resulting in the death of a four-year-old student named Miguel Ovoke during the school’s lunchtime.
The death certificate issued by Excel Specialist Hospital in Abuja, dated April 24, 2024, revealed that Miguel was rushed to the hospital by his teachers around 11 am after being found unconscious. According to the medical report signed by Dr. Akinwande Ajayi, Miguel was brought in due to choking on food while eating at school.
Upon examination, medical staff discovered that Miguel’s pupils were fixed and dilated, with no response to light. His peripheral pulses were impalpable, blood pressure was unrecordable, and there was no sign of cardiopulmonary or respiratory activity.
Despite efforts to resuscitate him, all attempts were unsuccessful, and Miguel was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
In light of the circumstances surrounding their child’s death, Miguel’s parents have enlisted the services of lawyer Deji Adeyanju to handle the case for them. Adeyanju confirmed this development on Thursday.
Efforts to obtain a response from the school authorities have been fruitless thus far, with no response received to emails sent to the school’s official address.
