BREAKING: APC’s Sylva Wins One Other LGA, One More To Go
The collation of results for the Bayelsa governorship election, held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, has recommenced.
Governor Duoye Diri of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who had been leading with victories in five Local Government Areas (LGAs), faces competition as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Timipre Sylva, secures an additional win.
As collation resumed on Monday afternoon, the state Resident Electoral Officer (REC) announced that Sylva emerged victorious in Brass local government, his hometown. The result of Southern Ijaw LGA is still pending, and its outcome will play a crucial role in determining the overall winner.

- Total Accredited Voters: 32,064
- APC: 18,431
- PDP: 12,602
- LP: 83
- NRM: 31
